How to install wordpress locally on mac?

I use MAMP
I downloaded the archive from FTP, I connected the database. Threw the site on htdocs I
go to localhost: 8888/sitename.ru and redirects me to localhost/sitename.ru and gives out that the data was not received. What kind of magic can this be? (
ps By the way, when you change the name of the site folder, for example, to "aaaa", the browser in the "index of" view mode adds "aaaa.ru"

What is the name of the project folder? Let's say project. Try typing localhost/project
