How to install sound drivers in linux mint 18.3?
Hello. There is linux mint 18.3, and the missing sound. I'm trying to somehow solve this. I downloaded the realtek driver from the off site. Rt-Linux-HDaudio-5.18 to be exact. I do everything according to the instructions, ./configure, make and catch the first error with the date, which I solve quite quickly and simply. Repeated make already gives another error that I can't solve:
Rt-Linux-HDaudio-5.18/alsa-driver-RTv5.18/alsa/acore/timer.c:394:3: error: implicit declaration of function ‘do_posix_clock_monotonic_gettime’ [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
do_posix_clock_monotonic_gettime(&tstamp);

The do_posix_clock_monotonic_getttime() function is missing from the timer.c file.
By the way, doesn't the bucket itself find the necessary firewood? I installed CentOS 6, then Caclulate 17 (actually Gentoo) - I never installed firewood for sound, I always found myself.
