How to install project with Yii on Mac (MAMP)?

There is a repository https://github.com/jakim/ig-monitoring, there is a brief installation instruction. I can't install it on mac, I have MAMP. I just can't figure out how easy it is to install yii to run the commands in the instructions.
Can you explain step by step the steps to start the project from the repository for me? I did not come across yii.

Yii2 has a ready-made Vagrantfile.
Install Vagrant, then go to the Yii2 project folder and do a vagrant up.
