Watching videos on YouTube on creating simple programs, I often see that they prescribe instail ..., but it doesn’t work on a poppy because almost all the guides are for Windows.

for almost all guides for Windows

On Windows, almost nothing is installed from the terminal.
Write specifically what software you want to install.
There is brew on MacOS: https://brew.sh/
