How to install pptpd on debian testing?

There was debian wheezy, pptpd worked fine on it. Updated to stretch/sid, ppp0 interface disappeared from ifconfig, vpn stopped working. A complete reinstallation of pptpd does not help, the interface does not appear. CHADNT?
