How to install phpmyadmin on a remote server?

I am transferring a site from one server to another through an ftp client. How to install the phpmyadmin distribution on a remote server to do a database import.
The database dam is already there, it remains only to import it.

unpack
configure config.inc.php
and put it through a web server
to hide from prying eyes

phpmyadmin is like your website - a bunch of php code. We threw the code into the folder and launched the link in the browser.
