How to install Oracle connector for php?

I'm trying to install Oracle connector for php.
Multiple attempts give the same result:
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /opt/oracle/instantclient/libclntsh.so when searching for -lclntsh
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lclntsh
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [oci8.la] Error 1
ERROR: `make' failed
Install by command:
pecl install oci8-2.0.11 OS
version:
Linux ubuntu1404lts 3.13.0-19-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Mon Mar 24 02:36:06 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It turns out there was a problem in the x64-x86 version
