How to install linux mint cinnamon?

I downloaded the image from off site . I made a bootable flash drive using the universal usb installer. I restart the computer (by inserting a USB flash drive). A menu pops up (which is interesting without any additional presses like F8) with the following content:

  • Start Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64-bit
  • Start Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64-bit (compatibility mode)
  • OEM install (for manufactures)
  • Check the integrity of the medium

And then what I do not choose is a black screen. Waited 10 minutes, then got tired. What the hell? Why is it not loading?
P.S. Yes, win 10 is also on the same computer. I really don’t want to demolish it. I'm hoping to put mint on a second OS on a different drive.

Linux Mint has been compromised www.3dnews.ru/928791 , so it's worth thinking twice if it's safe to use at all. Regarding the installation, first you need to make sure that the installation flash drive is prepared properly. Under Win, I use UltraISO for these purposes, I burn the image by setting the "make disk bootable" flag. The file system must be FAT32, not NTFS. Then, if everything is done correctly and the installer still does not load, you need to dig towards UEFI (maybe turning it off will help), and there are also troubles during installation due to hard disk partition tables in GPT, Ubuntu has a special mini-utility that this is a fix.
