As you can see from the name of the installer package file ( ppa.launchpad.net/webupd8team/java/ubuntu/pool/mai... ) - it is the same for all supported architectures.
Most likely, it just won’t get out of the package, you will need to install additional i386 libraries ( askubuntu.com/questions/136194/juniper-setup-on-12-04 ) and take the Oracle installer ( www.oracle.com/technetwork/ java/javase/install-lin... ).

Hello!
What does Ubuntu x86_64 mean?
Do you still have x86 or 64?
