How to install GeoIP in MampPro?

In general, an error occurs in the project:
Call to undefined function rmrevin\yii\geoip\geoip_db_avail()
And the question arose to install GeoIp in MampPro.
Trying to install using the command
... sh pecl install geoip
But getting errors:
checking for geoip files in default path... not found
configure: error: Please reinstall the geoip distribution
ERROR: `/private/tmp/pear/temp/geoip /configure' failed
Since I'm not very good at installation features, I ask for your help, how to install geoip on a local machine?

I myself encountered a similar one and always had VAGRANT on my note, I even managed to ask a stupid question here Why is vagrant better than MAMP Pro on Mac os? . I recommend not to bother with MAMP and make a complete transition of development from VAGRANT. A bunch of perks.
