How to install CentOS 7 and Ubuntu alongside Windows 10?
I have a laptop that I use as my main work tool. It has licensed Windows 10 64. You need to put CentOS 7 and Ubuntu next to it. What tools to use and in what order to do it?
- Backing up the current system image to an external HDD (so that nothing is lost)
- Partitioning (At what stage, software, file systems, etc.)
- Creating a bootable USB flash drive with the CentOS 7 / Ubuntu image from under Windows (I figured this out but so other people will read the answers, it is important to give full information right away, and I am a beginner linux user)
I decided to ask a question, as time goes by and the system requirements of the OS and presets change (CentOS 6-7 for example). It is important to know how to do all this correctly today. Do not spoil the computer and keep the licensed Windows.
I understand that the question is extensive, if there are links to relevant articles at the end of 2015 and correct from the point of view of the answering article on the listed problems, then I will also be very grateful.

You boot from live Ubuntu, cut off the partition for Ubuntu and CentOS in gparted from the disk with Windows as much as you need. I have Windows from ubuntu, so on ubuntu I have 3 partitions: swap, partition with root (/) and partition with home. You can read about markup and installation on the ubuntu website by typing "ubuntu installation" into google. You can make a bootable flash drive in Linux either with the terminal command "dd if=your image of=your flash drive", or the unetbootin program, there is an intuitive interface, everything will be clear. Look like that's it
