How to insert numbers into strings?

I want to paste

18.7
0.6
3.3
53.9
13.2
2.2
4.9
4.0

that then to receive the sum of all lines
But I receive dates.
And if I change the type to numbers, I get:
44395,00
0.6
44258,00
53.9
44240,00
44229,00
44443,00
4.0

This bullshit has haunted me all my life. Each time it is easier to manually register each column than by the SW method. Tyka sort through the button options to get the numbers.

Quick solution:

  1. Select the cells with the data you just inserted.
  2. Press Ctrl+H
  3. Enter a dot in "find" and a comma in "replace with".

Reliable solution:
  1. Paste first in a text editor like Notepad++
  2. Press Ctrl+H
  3. Enter a dot in "find" and a comma in "replace with".
  4. After replacing, the result is already copied to Google Sheets.
