How to inherit permissions on files in a shared folder?
It costs Windows 2008 R2, with the "File Services" role installed.
There is a network shared folder, it has 2 folders: "Documents" and "Exchange".
Folders "Documents" and "Exchange" are directories of the first level; for all subfolders and files, access rights are inherited according to the directory of the first level. "Documents" is open only to a specific group, "Sharing" is available to all users with write access.
The problem is that if you cut a file from the "Documents" folder and paste it into the "Exchange" folder, then the access rights are saved as for the "Documents" folder. Those. a file moved from the "Documents" folder to the "Exchange" folder cannot be modified by users.
If the file is copied
How to fix this problem? So that when transferring a file from one folder, the rights of the folder to which it is transferred would be applied to the file?
