How to index Mysql database using ElasticSearch?
I came across ElasticSearch and liked it. But I can’t understand if there is a possibility, similar to Sphinx, to index the database on some request in the background, track changes in the database, and not write your own logic for this?

Only its own logic for indexing.
UPD:
Yes, and it makes no sense, if you have a rigid data schema, then it's probably better to use the same sphinx.
https://github.com/jprante/elasticsearch-river-jdbc there is such a thing, but I haven’t used it myself and xs at all, how ready it is for use in real projects.
