How to increase the sound volume on a video?

There is a video in H264 format with overlay audio in AAC. Is it possible to process the sound without separating the video from the audio (slightly equalize and raise the volume)?

As far as I understand, there is a problem in order NOT to recode at least the video.
You still have to separate it with a demuxer, it's fast, after that, you can do everything with the sound (but better without time correction;) ). Then encoding with any encoder that turns up in the original format, then gluing with the video with a muxer, this is also fast, the video remains untouched.

With Adobe Audition you can do whatever you want with the sound . Watch a couple of YouTube videos and everything will become clear . You can add video files to the program and work with their audio tracks.
