How to import data from an existing site into bitrix?

We are going to use Bitrix for an existing site. At the moment there are about 1000 documents. Is there any mechanism to load content? We can make almost any format, from json to xml and yml. The main thing is that Bitrix understands and put everything in the right places on the site, tied it to the menu, added meta-information and so on.
Everything that is on Google, for some reason, refers to online stores, and we mostly have articles and videos scattered here and there along the document tree.
And yes, the current site is powered by UMI.CMS...
