How to import a library into Laravel Mix?

You need to import https://mdbootstrap.com/getting-started/
normally, and not just push the finished files into public and connect them to the blade.
I don't quite understand how to do it right.

npm install --save-dev mdbootstrap
Further on the examples in the files webpack.mix.jsand resources/assets/js/*.
