How to import a Fabtotum 3D printer to Russia?

Good afternoon!
I'm going to order a personal fabricator Fabtotum (www.fabtotum.com) is an Italian 3d printer and 3d scanner in one bottle. Its price of 1298 dollars (without delivery) fits into the limit of 1000 euros, weight - about 12 kg.
I have two delivery options - from the manufacturer (they are going to send to Russia using FEDex services) and through a relative who, on occasion, is going to Italy in the near future.
The following questions arise:
1) which delivery option is preferable and safer so that they are not lost and allowed into the country?
2) what problems will I face if I just order it with their delivery on their website (3D printers, to my knowledge, are not goods for personal use)?
3) and if delivered by FEDex, is the cost of delivery added to the cost of the goods themselves for the needs of customs?
4) what problems can my relative face at customs at the airport when carrying a device in baggage and what should I do in this case?
5) what difficulties, apart from assembly, can there be if you ask the manufacturer to send the device disassembled, indicating "electronic parts"?
Well, you really need to figure it out, as there is an opportunity to save on shipping.
Thanks in advance.

Where do you live? If St. Petersburg, then why not ask to buy someone from the Finns and pick them up.
