How to implement work with multiple databases?
I want to make a small project of my own. Thinking through the architecture, I ran into a problem.
The project will be analogous to Bitrix24 and any other similar platform.
A copy of the same project is created, I have identified 2 ways of implementation for myself:
1) A copy of the project is created in the docker on some subdomain (a minus is immediately highlighted, this is the need to allocate RAM for each copy of the project, it will be very expensive)
2) Create an instance of the database and somehow teach the node to immediately control several connections to the database (but I don’t understand how to do this, I can’t google it, maybe I can’t formulate the question)
Please tell me which way to dig?

Yes, almost any library for working with the database has instructions on how to raise several of its instances with different connections.
What was the difficulty? Specifically, what databases, what drivers for them?
