How to implement unread new event status?

There is a Crud application on Spring (mvc, security), Hibernate, JSP. There is a table with orders and each order has its own page. There are multiple users. When an order is added, it is assigned the status of a new one, and this status should disappear for each user when viewing the order page (like an unread message in VK). What is the best way to implement all this?
