How to implement the output of files from a folder?

It is necessary to implement dynamic loading of files from a folder. I know that there are many recipes for php, but I would like to do without it. The site is written in angular.
I thought to implement a simple listing of files, but as far as I understand, it does not have much customization and it will not be easy to implement search from the client.
