How to implement interaction between windows in JavaFX?

I can not understand how the interaction between two windows in JavaFX is carried out. It means how can I influence the view of the first window while in the second one? For example: in the first window I have a TableView in the second (modal) settings of this table. I need to change the display of some of the columns, and upon returning to the first window, they should be automatically applied.
