How to implement a day/night cycle in a browser game?
I am looking for solutions for the change of day and night (the movement of the stars) in a browser-based isometric game.
The only solution I found is several sprite backgrounds with different lighting that change on a timer.
The sprite of the character on the territory where the lighting changes does not move, which makes the task easier.
Are there any other solutions to this problem? For example on canvas.
