How to host a version control server on a host that does not support it?

Good afternoon, dear ones!
I have a need to use version control to develop a website. The site is hosted on hosting "Hostinger". This hosting does not support subversion or any other version control server.
Can you tell me how I can proceed to use version control?

Don't torture your dog and take a VDS somewhere... for example, digitalocean 5 dollars a month...
PS I use assembla myself, there are also free convenient tariffs...

Well, if the hoster generally allows you to do at least something via ssh, then you can try to start from here - software.danielwatrous.com/install-subversion-on-l...
Or from here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2647484/instal ...
And so the advice about VPS is correct.
