How to hide the status bar?
The status bar is not hidden, only the icons disappear, but the bar itself remains.
As I understand it, the Coordinator Layout part remains, which draws this panel using the AppCompat backward compatibility library.
MainActivity.java
package com.example.sansan.myapplication;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.support.v7.app.ActionBar;
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
import android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar;
import android.view.View;
public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {
private ActionBar actionBar;
@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
setSupportActionBar((Toolbar) findViewById(R.id.toolbar));
actionBar = getSupportActionBar();
}
@Override
protected void onResume() {
super.onResume();
View decorView = getWindow().getDecorView();
decorView.setSystemUiVisibility(
View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_LAYOUT_STABLE
| View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_LAYOUT_HIDE_NAVIGATION
| View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_LAYOUT_FULLSCREEN
| View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_HIDE_NAVIGATION
| View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_FULLSCREEN
| View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_IMMERSIVE
);
if (actionBar != null) {
actionBar.hide();
}
}
}
