How to hide a block of information on a site in Chrome?
In the old Opera, it was possible to highlight a certain block of information on the site, for example, a block with banners or an unnecessary menu and hide it, and later this information was not shown on the site (until the site layout changes).
How to do this in modern chrome?

In chrome, you can use ctrl+shift+c to select the element (or right-click on the element and select "explore") that you want to hide and delete it in the dom tree with the del key.
But after reloading the page, the element will reappear on the page, so the ad blocker solution is more reliable on some sites.
On some, because some other sites, when reloading the page, generate different (from previous) attributes for the hidden element, as a result of which the element is again displayed on the page and needs to be hidden again. In this case, IMHO removing the element directly from the DOM is faster.
And a small bonus: sometimes pop-ups block the scrolling of the screen, and even if you remove the blocking element (for example, a popup), the screen still does not scroll down. This is due to the fact that the html tag or the body has the property overflow: hidden - turn off the property and the screen spins again =)
