How to handle a click on an invisible element?

Actually, the question is how to teach to handle a click on a non-invisible element (button / space / view, etc.), and is it possible to do this?
PS Well, or how can you implement a click on a specific place, if the picture is set to the background and you need to read clicks on specific areas?

I figured it out, I decided to put a button and throw an empty png image on the background.

Process just touches on activation. You will have to do the transformation of coordinates to find out if you are in the area or not.
Even better - you smell like some kind of game - at least use Canvas.
