I got the task of the thesis - to implement a mechanism for transferring video from the server to the user. It is clear that simply displaying a link to a file is not an option at all. It is necessary to implement the work in such a way that, in order to reduce the load on the server and the network, take into account the number of active requests to the server, the channel bandwidth, the user's screen resolution, and a number of other factors.
Have experience in web development. But I haven't come across this issue before.
