How to give permission to create folders if the owner is root: root in Fedora?

Good morning!
Help me figure it out, I mounted the partition in home / multimedia, the rights are root: root.
I need to be able to create folders and everything else there.
My actions:
gave rights -R 775
Created the mulmedia group, added my user there and added the root user there.
I changed the multimedia folder group, and now everything looks like this root: mulmedia
checked the list of users for the group cat /etc/group | greg mulmedia - mulmedia:x:1001:lightbringer,root
But there is no access to create folders either, you need to add sudo!!!!
How to fix it?
