What difference does it make from which system you connect to a remote server through the console, if you will be in the environment of that server when you work? Install Putty and connect.
Actually, your question contradicts itself. I installed Linux, but I need Windows, since .Net, and therefore how to make Windows look like Linux? So what is your system in the end?
