How to get the average network load per server over a certain amount of time?

Good afternoon! I'm interested in the question, how can I get the average network load on the server for the last, say, a minute, and output this number to a file? There is a server and a desire to monitor the load in real time, but it is not always convenient to keep a terminal with some kind of monitoring utility, such as nload. I assume that there is a command to display the amount of data given for a certain amount of time, thanks to which it would be possible to solve this problem, but at the moment the necessary command could not be found. If you have any ideas, or utilities that could help, please tell me, as I'm already almost desperate.
