They gave a coursework using Perl and MySQL. Where to start studying these disciplines and what are the general tips for working with them?
PS I myself am a front-end developer, I just switched to poppy

there is nothing difficult in mysql if you are a frontend developer.
Just start looking at the examples

MySQL for mac os can be downloaded from the site or built from source (for example, via brew), you need XCode. To view tables and data, you can install Sequel Pro.
Perl is already in the system. Take any text editor and go!
