Is there a service for (voluntary) tracking of GPS coordinates?
Preferably linked to a phone number.

Voluntarily, everything is in the android of the sparkle.
Google settings - my location - on.
If GPS is active on the device, then it merges the data once a minute, then look under your account on
maps.google.com/locationhistory
Others can share their location via Google +.
If the GPS is turned off, then the coordinates are merged according to the BS, but the intervals are somehow incomprehensible, maybe two hours will fall out.
Just lock GPS in the on state (so that it also gives coordinates in sleep mode) - the application "my tracks" and there is a button "turn on GPS".
Well, there are plenty of M2M services that do the same, they can set intervals and everything else.
