How to get rid of the customer's domain registered to you?
I made a website for a client. I registered a domain quickly for myself. For a couple of years, the customer has been renewing the domain through the terminal. The customer does not respond to inquiries. There is no connection with him. How can I cancel the registration of a domain in my name ahead of time? I don't want to carry legal risks with an extra load. Now with domains and TM such diseases can be obtained on the fifth point.
Tell me who faced or legally savvy!
Thanks in advance!

Merge the customer with information that you will sell the domain or give it to resellers. It will not appear ... you can safely implement the idea. =)
I cannot imagine a situation where there are no contacts. If this is a company, then there is its phone number on the same site. Or the domain is not used in any way? Or you yourself do not want to contact the customer?
I don't see much difference between what @edinorog suggested and what you are going to do - removing the domain from delegation will instantly break everything for the customer.
And then, what does it mean "pays for the domain through the terminal"? There is no direct payment, most likely there is an account (your) to which he gives money, but does the domain auto-renew? Well, remove auto-renewal and the domain will be removed from delegation. I understand that from your point of view it is not ethical and all that. Here again, your relationship is completely incomprehensible.
In general, the customer simply registers his account with the same registrar and you can transfer the domain to him using a simple letter. Reasonable people do it.
Well, the answer to your question - write a letter to the registrar and he withdraws from the delegation (naturally, he does not return the money).
remove the delegation from the domain by deleting the dns server, the site will turn off the
customer will come to his senses, re-register for himself and everyone is happy
