How to get rid of lags in Firefox related (probably) to checking plugins?

In that year or this year, there was an article on Habré about the fact that, they say, FF periodically freezes and this is due to the fact that it checks for plugin updates, or something else ... I can’t find the article, what was there written helped, it was necessary to change some parameter in about: config, but I reinstalled the OS, but I forgot about this trifle for a long time. And now I remembered. It's just that these freezes for 10 seconds have already gotten to the point of trembling. Such a shame on a computer with 8 GB of memory and a six-core CPU to do such a thing, what are you doing, demon!
Help, please, there is no more strength: С Already, I confess, I am a sinner, I am thinking about switching to another browser.

Clean up the log, put https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/vacuum-places-improved/?src=api
any left add-ons and plugins out of sight too.

I clean the magazine and other things with CCleaner, there are no left additions, I use all of them. The lag is not during startup or address typing, but simply, somehow spontaneously stops responding, while it does not go into the "Not Responding" state, but simply dulls while actively rustling the hard drive.

Try disabling all add-ons and plugins.
I faced such a problem - I solved it by cleaning, and then I created a new profile altogether.
