How to get npm back?

Hello. My mac installed n - Interactively Manage Your Node.js Versions yesterday because I need a newer version of node . Added the old version everything worked. Today I decided to update npm and install an earlier version
of node (14.17.1) updated npm using the command in the console sudo npm install -g npm
added the node version via the n command -bash: npm: command not found I type the command npm -v same history -bash: npm: command not found Please tell me what could be the reason? to know for the future. Thanks
