How to get into web design?

A friend wants to refocus on web design. At the moment she is engaged in packaging design - creating layouts, prepress for flexography. By profession - artist, book illustrator. She asked for help with literature and references. Has anyone had a similar experience, any advice? Her English is so-so, not enough for communication, but she can read articles. We will help her with employment, there is a very powerful recruiter in reserve :-) Thank you in advance!

In general, I expected to receive links to specific resources from those who made the "transition" from printing to the web. Although there was little hope. But now I see that it will be easiest for me to explain everything to her myself, than to filter out a huge amount of "water" from the search results. The problem is that she has very little time outside of work, and she still cannot afford to quit and educate herself.

Those. Can't she ask the question herself?

Well, at one time I made such a transition, because printing is a terrible swamp (I dealt with small things, and periodicals, and outdoor advertising, and packaging - one terrible smelly swamp). I started with the book "The Art of Elephant Washing": https://cloud.mail.ru/public/6Kzs/1YyWLjfPc
And just asked Google about interfaces and web design, read articles. The transition was not difficult - those who have been in the printing industry for a long time are already mentally prepared for theory; in fact, the basic principles of design are the same, the differences are only in technical limitations (no need to worry about the amount of colors, trapping and color reproduction, but you need to worry about pixel perfection, adaptability and design compatibility with implementation technology, frameworks)
That's all. Zhainar answered you very correctly - Google, Google, and again Google.
