How to get information from a database from one remote server to another?

The server with the application running on it collects some data, I want to display it on my site, which is located on a different server. What is the best way to implement the transfer? Now I'm using SQLite, I'm thinking of switching to PostgreSQL.

VPN between servers and regular work with PostgreSQL over the network. Just don't do this without a VPN, don't hang out an elephant with a naked dupa in the Internet, raise the VPN and let it listen to the port on the VPN'a interface.
