How to get back a folder missing from Bookmarks in Chrome?
I use Chrome, Bookmarks, folders in Bookmarks.
Within a week, Chrome ate a folder (named "OTV") from Bookmarks. The folder was used to store Bookmarks with answers to questions I asked. Well, not all sites always and correctly report replies.
Once upon a time, Chrome already devoured Bookmarks. I made a note to myself that the Bookmarks (copy) are stored in Bookmarks.bat
But this time there are no Bookmarks or a copy of the OTV folder.
Is there something that can be done?
Thanks

Try looking at SyncData.sqlite3 (the first sqlitebrowser.org/ editor you came across).
It is better to copy the file, I don’t know if the deleted bookmarks are stored there, but the current ones are definitely in:
data - table - metas.
the specifics field contains a link.
With Chrome open, the file will fail to open.
You can try deleting bookmarks/bookmarks.bak, maybe Chrome itself will return the bookmarks from SyncData.sqlite3.
PS: I didn't use the editor, opened it right away with notepad, searched for bookmark (sbookmark_barr) and
found records of my bookmarks among sqlite meta-data
Didn't find what you were looking for?
