How to get ASUS sound card to work in Ubuntu?

Sound card - asus xonar phoebus.
OC - Ubuntu 13.10
As I understand it, somewhere you need to register snd_hda_intel, since the kernel already supports the card, but I still haven’t figured out where and how to do it.

Did you update the system after installing it? I advise you if you are new to the linux issue, then upgrade - I have half a year distributions of the ubuntu branch, and at first I also couldn’t properly configure all the devices: first the video card, because. The proprietary driver did a check for additional power supply to the card, and the X's simply didn't start. But the solution was found, as always, almost immediately, it was suggested to look at the logs, look at the logs. For example, error logs, or system startup logs. I think Google will help you, I hope it helped you.
