How to get a new post release event via vk_api(Python)?

A few weeks after I got acquainted with this library, I decided to write a spam bot for groups to test my strength (yes, this is bad). Everything seemed to work out, using the wall.get method I received community records, and everything would be fine, but calling this method limited (no more than 5k a day), I also solved this problem by setting time.sleep(20), everything works, but it looks rather truncated. Is it possible somehow through longpoll ? or is this only possible for communities?
