How to format text in Facebook posts?

Until recently, I sincerely believed that in posts on Facebook there was no text design at all, except for breaking into paragraphs and emoticons. No formatting bars are visible and standard keyboard shortcuts don't work.
But recently I saw that people make embedded beautifully designed documents:

Or they just decorate their posts with bolds, italics, lists and other visual elements:

How is it done? So far, Google has found "secret" formatting methods that only work for Latin characters and ignore Cyrillic.
So how can you style your text posts on Facebook?

Note and status (which is the correct term for Facebook posts) are different things. There is no formatting in the posts, there are only tricks with different characters. Note has formatting.
