Actually what is the problem? Now many devices do not even need a computer to flash them. Just put Recovery and flash anything.
If there is a need to use standard utilities like adb or fastboot, then install them.

Now you can use fastboot to flash any data area. For example, let's flash recovery:
The process is identical on all OSes, I don't know what you're having problems with.
