How to fix ubuntu 14.10 - "sudo apt-get update" - 404 Not Found [IP: 213.180.204.183 80] error?

Just installed the new ubuntu 14.10 and I'm getting errors when trying to update.
I have never encountered this before - is there a universal way to solve it?

I know about the existence of the coveted *.list file, but I'm afraid to spoil it.

In the "UBUNTU Application Center" settings, change the server from Russian to Main and you will be happy :)
Something Yandex did not finish this time.
