How to fix the out of memory problem when working with pg_restore?
And when restoring from a dump to a database and simply converting from a binary dump to sql, an "out of memory" error occurs.
I convert to sql for example like this: pg_restore -f new_plain.sql bin.backup, I restore it to the database through pg admin or by hand, which, by the way, is almost the same.
I do not see any memory consumption, neither RAM nor swap. Operatives are 8 gigs, three are occupied, the swap is generally free.

Unexpectedly, it was a broken dump. But it's hard to guess from the error message.
