How to fix mysql socket?

Hello. I bought vps on centos, installed ispmanager. By default, there is php version 5.1.6, I decided to upgrade to 5.4.27. Along with the puff, other packages were pulled up, including mysql

. It is clear that something is wrong with the socket, maybe the rights have gone astray. Who knows?

@daMage comment out the skip-locking config
This is clear from the logs below, it
seems to break when upgrading mysql 5.1 to 5.5
once encountered this
