The main menu in Cinnamon (Linux Mint) broke:

Google found a similar problem forum.ubuntu.ru/index.php?topic=239899.0
They suggest clearing the contents of the ~/.config/menus directory
But my menu editor starts up and the proposed solution does not work.

The solution in the forehead is to create a new user and copy the contents of this directory with the replacement of files (of course, back up your own beforehand).
