How to fix link generation for messengers for WP CMS?

Links like tg:// viber:// and whatsapp:// used to work on the site,
but now the prefix falls off.

Instead:
whatsapp://send?phone=[phone]
viber://add?number=18888888888

The site remakes the links and turns them into this (hence they are not working):
https://add/?number=18888888888
https: //send/?phone=[phone]

Perhaps this is due to the update, but now I don't know what to do. There is an option to make links through services like viber.click, but this is some kind of crutch. Help! How to fix the problem?
