How to fix GRUB error?

There is an old computer with a Pentium 1 on board and 48 MB of RAM. Damn Small Linux worked properly on it for 6-7 years until the 1.2 GB screw failed. I replaced the screw with another and reinstalled, everything went without errors. After the reboot, the boot from the screw failed GRUB Hard Disk Error and stops there. In Live mode, everything works and the disk and the rest of the system. Hard IBM 62 GB. Old but working. There are no troubles of blocks, it is not heated. I tried WD 80 GB, Seagate 40 GB drives. All disks work properly on another PC. I rule out a hardware error. Perhaps something needs to be changed in the BIOS settings. Although no one has changed them.

not sure fresh Grub will work, try Lilo or syslinux.
