How to fix errors in Windows 8.1?

One evening my roommate recommended that I press ctrl+shift+t in Total Commander. Without thinking twice, I pressed this combination of keys, and then something incredible happened. Total Commander froze, leaving me to contemplate the right panel with two misplaced horizontal stripes at the top. Not the first time killing the process in the task manager, I decided to run the program again, but nothing happened. After trying again several times, I looked into the task manager and saw the same number of running processes there. After killing them all again, I clicked on the shortcut one last time, but as expected, nothing happened. Thinking that rebooting would save me as always, I selected this option in the start. After rebooting, I found that almost all of my autoload failed to load, and these are: touchpad driver, antivirus and torrent client. Moreover, manually all these programs started fine. Then I decided to use the restore point, which was created four days ago. Did not help. After a few reboots, I noticed that all the remaining programs are loaded in 5-10 minutes after the system starts. What do you think could be the reason for this delay? And what should I do with it now?

Thanks everyone, I checked the system with AVZ, found a suspicious dll _etoured.dll from NVidia, deleted it, rebooted, and everything fell into place.

I don’t think that “opening a new tab” is related to the problem, the symptoms are more like a virus infection, here you need more description of the PC itself, at least whether it has antivirus installed at all. Autoload can be adjusted in msconfig. "What could be the reason for such a delay" as a rule, the fact that a virus starts instead of them, when she finishes her "good deeds for the sake of world peace" she starts what she infected. As a rule, such a system is no longer treated, because there is too much crap, most often it’s easier to demolish everything clean or restore from a backup (have you started doing it yet? :))
